I just wanted to thank you and all the staff at the Marquess Tavern for Friday. The atmosphere was great, the food was terrific and the staff very patient! I think I can speak for the whole team and say a good time was had by all.

I'd like to thank you and your team (front of house and kitchen) for making my brother Darran and Steph's celebratory wedding lunch on Saturday so memorable.
You guys were fantastic!
The food was excellent, everyone of our party agreed, and the whole service team were lovely - attentive, but not overdoing it and especially not snooty.
I was particularly struck by, and very grateful for your own very calm, very professional attitude and your genuine willingness to accommodate our requests and questions (especially when we were asking over and over again for the run down regarding the beef - it's not that difficult to understand, is it??).
You were instantly helpful and friendly (and calm) when we arrived early for you (as you had not yet opened) but late for us (I was supposed to be at the Town Hall 10 minutes earlier!). Although I was in a bit of a flap, I knew that you would take care of the cake and the decorations etc. and get everything on the table. Which you did, thank you.
You personally took great care of us all afternoon and ensured that we were well looked after. You can be proud of a job very well done. And that matters you know - it was my kid brother's wedding and it was perfect!
So, I live and work fairly locally, and now that I know you are there I will be visiting more often (I do have to try the lamb after all, and the beef, and the rabbit pie, and the chicken livers, and the lemon tart...). I hope that you will be there on my next visit and I shall buy you a drink!
